Training Courses

What You Need to Know

Health and Safety Training is intended to provide employees with sufficient information and knowledge to allow them to work safely and confidently.

We deliver a comprehensive range of Training developed specifically to meet client’s needs.

That is why we have introduced a series of short heath and safety courses named as the “What You Need to Know” series.

The “What You Need to Know” series of courses do not provide formal qualifications but do provide sufficient information and training on the subject matter to allow safe working practice and raise safety awareness in individuals attending.

The “What You Need to Know” series of courses provide delegate with sufficient knowledge to question existing work practices to enhance safety in the workplace.

Remember - There is no such thing as a silly question.

The What You Need to Know series is also provides for a useful fresher to those who have already received training.

The What You Need to Know series is a useful precursor to those who may be considering more formal health and safety training.

We can also provide bespoke training or customise existing course to meet individual needs.

Bespoke induction courses can also be provided.

All delegates will be awarded a certificate of attendance following completion of the course and set of course notes.

Venue

Courses are generally run at the client’s venue anywhere in the UK (subject to its suitability).  However arrangements can be made for an external venue if required, subject to agreed cost.

The advantage of running these short courses (all half day courses with the exception of one) at your own venue means less lost time. You only loose your employee for half a day rather than longer or possibly a whole day, making your venue the most cost effective location.

Legislation

“Every employer shall take capabilities as regards health & safety into account when allocating tasks”.

Adequate health and safety training must be provided:

  • at induction or recruitment;
  • on transfer/change responsibility;
  • if there are new or increased risks;
  • when work equipment, new technology or systems of work are introduced.

Training must be repeated to take into account any changed risks and should take place during working hours.

Charges

Course fees are based on up to 15 delegates per course and not per head like may other providers. (Delegate numbers attending in excess of 15 attracts a per head charge which is negotiable).

Travelling costs are included in the overall course cost up to a 50 mile radius of Norwich after which a small charge per mile will be levied.

Cellarman Training

The occupation of the Cellarman is both an art and a science.

In collaboration with a well known and respected publican, Robert Walker Consulting is to launch in March 2015 this new course. It has the support of a well known brewery which has offered it's premises as a venue for this training. There appears to be a shortfall in training for this type of activity, it will include; production methods, hygiene, storage, manual handling, quality control and COSHH issues in connection with the brewing retail trade.

Anyone interested please feel free to contact us as bookings are already being taken.
